We are Pro-Human.

We're certainly not anti-technology, far from it, but we believe it's never been a more critical time to build a platform dedicated to human ingenuity and authenticity. Nothing can replicate the colorful chaos that comes from our brain because it's immesurable.

In a future filled with AI and robots, we believe people will tire of the artificial and seek the authentically human experience we need. We evolved and survived because of it. At the end of the day:

The only thing people truly connect with, are other people

That's why we're building Lone Birch.

In its simplest form, Lone Birch is a handmade marketplace, dedicated to people who make things with their hands. This platform is dedicated to showcasing what humans can do.

To us, handmade is defined as:

Raw material shaped into form by a human or group of humans, with the help of unintelligent tools.

We include the term "unintelligence" because in a world where AI is everywhere, we want to be explicit: Lone Birch is for work made by the biologically intelligent.

Why video?

The best way to create transparency and authenticity in e-commerce is through video. To actually witness someone making the very product we can buy is something we deeply connect with. There's no question as to whether something was actually made by a human or not. Naturally, this is going to make it impossible for people to pass off products as "handmade", that are actually not.

Will you allow digital products or Print on demand?

We will never allow digital art and we will never allow Print on demand (POD), period. Lone Birch is dedicated to the things that are made by hand, that we can touch with our own.
